Being the only girl donk, with three troublesome boys to keep in check, Lilly has to stand up for herself. Hmmm, that all sounds a bit familiar to me........... Don't worry, she may look very cute with her long silky hair, but she doesn't put up with any messing about.
Had a slight disaster on Thursday with my iPhone falling out of my pocket straight into one of the pigs' water troughs as I was filling it up. No signs of life and Angus put it into a bag of rice on top of the Aga to see if that would do the trick.
This morning it would turn on but still had water in it and now it is working OK except the on/off button isn't working - aaaah! Still, at least I can continue listening to the GOLDfinch ( @judithg and @happypat !!!) as I have almost finished it and it is one of the best books I have read/listened to in a very long time.
Had a fun day with ten other women from the village, plus my Mum who was asked if she wanted to be an honorary member of our gang, at the Christmas Gift Fayre at the NEC. Train there, minibus back, lots of laughing, prosecco drinking, spending and sore feet, followed by curries put on by the village pub for us and our families, so no cooking - result!
Didn't make it to the fund raising evening for the Philippines which was held in the village hall, but will make a donation and have offered to help clear up on Saturday morning instead.
I am just up to Theo waiting for mum to come home after the bomb....am enjoying it very much but think I will try the speech enabled thing today. Last time I tried that I hated the monotonous tone but this might be better.
Lilly has the must have superior look us women should adopt with any bossy man!!!!!
I am supposed to be going to the Country Living Christmas fair in Harrogate but just realised I have tickets to see The Mouse Trap on the same day......not enough days in the week!!
That is a wonderful expression. Brilliant capture.
Find some silica gel packets (look in your camera box), pop them in the Aga for a few minutes to refresh them, then put your phone and the silica gel in a sealed bag. That should help draw out the moisture.
She certainly looks like she could keep them in check. I can sympathise on the phone front - Ellen finally found hers in Tai's stable, so of course he had trodden on it and it's completely crushed.
