I suppose that, given that the weather outside is so disgusting, I should be thankful that the dog is giving me so much material for my dog shaming series at the moment. However.......
She is supposed to be losing a little bit of weight to ease the arthritis that she has in her back. But shortly after discovering this misdemeanour I found an empty packet of cheese hidden behind the dining table.....
The weather has got to the point of being well beyond a joke. I keep thinking that the mud just can't get any worse, and then find myself being proved woefully wrong yet again.
A slight disaster yesterday when shortly after returning from giving the animals their morning feeds I realised that I had lost my iPhone. So it was back outside into the rain to retrace my steps to try to find it. The most likely place was somewhere in the liquid mud (and worse) that I had had to wander through when I fed the pigs. Well, it wasn't there, or at least if it was it had sunk in the sludge, and a search of the donkeys' hay store was fruitless too.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, after spending a restless night worrying about it I found it on a shelf in the boot room/utility room where we keep our coats and shoes. Relief!
My Mum phoned me this morning and told me that yesterday, when she and my Dad were walking their dog yesterday, she lost her phone. This morning they went back to the field where they had been walking, and found it! Coincidence or what? Despite being out in the rain all night her phone was still working fine, but it looked like the case it was in had been nibbled by rabbits.
Your mum & you must be twin souls!!!!
I love your dog shaming pictures.......always have a chuckle when I see them. I think she doesn't care a toss...look at her laughing at you Jan!!!
@jantan oh dear, no wonder she looks so happy. My dogs love cat food too! Oh, I get it now, the cat food was in that bag! Not to worry, I'm menopausal!!
He doesn't look very ashamed. Maybe I should try a teenager shaming series, hanging signs around my children's necks listing their crimes - but then I might be had up on charges of child abuse. Apparently you're not supposed to humiliate them.
My friend has a dalmation that's rather partial to cheese. Our hubbies get together for cheese and wine every Thursday and the number of times she manages to snaffle it is unbelievable. First thing I do whenever I mislay my phone is to ring it. It's usually under a cushion next to where I'm sitting ;o) I hope your mud dries up soon. Seems like we have never ending rain here :oS xx
She doesn't look very shamed to me, lol. In fact, she looks like she's laughing at you :) I've never lost a phone, but I've lost my glasses...twice. I've since learned to keep them on when I'm shooting :/ Glad you didn't lose your phone after all...sounds like something I would do though.
Aww bless, she is yawning out of embarrassment. So annoying losing your phone, I lost mine the other day so phoned it rang very nearby so threw all the cushions off the sofa, rang it again and it was still close by so looked under the piano. This went on until I realised it was in the front pocket of my hoodie!!!

surely you could not keep cross for long - Glad both phones were found A FAV
