yet another donkey-based filler I am afraid. The weather is dismal at the moment, but as well as that I have hardly picked my camera up for a couple of weeks because I have got a disc problem in my neck.
I have an appointment with a neurosurgeon next Thursday, and I suppose he will refer me for a MRI scan and we will know what treatment I will need to have. I am now beginning to wish I had done something about this earlier because my neck has been giving me some trouble for over four weeks with constant pins and needles and slight numbness in the thumb and forefinger in my right hand for the last two of those weeks. I have been convincing myself it would sort itself out on its own like it usually does.
I think this is super cute! Sorry to hear about your back though that sounds most distressing. My husband just had an operation on a disc in his neck for the same reason. He played his first game of golf on Friday so is a happy man.
Ha ha ha !! what a great capture she looks as happy as a lark ,with his eyes half closed and a smile on his face !
Sorry to hear Jan about your neck problem being riddled with arthritis and suffering spondylitis(sp?) in the neck joints --I can empathize with you !! Hope they will get to the bottom of the trouble to give you relief from the pain !--its good to have a moan Jan , but keep smiling xx
Fabulous capture - you poor thing! Hope you feel better soon, had something similar once after a car accident - sounds silly but, very light ultrasound on the base of the neck sorted it (anything to avoid doctors!) Fav
Sorry about your neck problems...sounds like a trapped nerve too causing your pins & needles....very unpleasant. I am hobbling about with a sore knee after my almost fall off the chair the other day....got worse but know I should rest it. A brilliant filler & we would never have known if you had nt told us....could have been taken today. Happy " donk" they do love a good roll....bliss!
I really love this one and it's an instant Fav. I had disc problems in my lower back and the surgeon I went to see wouldn't send me for a scan so I waited until I couldn't do a thing (didn't go to bed for 8 months because I couldn't get upstairs) and in the end paid privately to see someone else who sent me for a scan on the NHS. Once she saw the result, I was referred to Oxford and operated on the next day! It's not a good idea to leave things as I've been left with permanent nerve damage. Good luck with your treatment and I hope they sort it out for you very quickly because it's no fun living a life in pain but I've had to get used to it.
@rosiekind I'm so sorry to hear of your terrible experience Rosie, and that you have been left with pain. I've only had the pain for a few weeks, but already know how debilitating it can be. I am very fortunate because I get private medical insurance through my husband's job which I am very grateful for. I too will be going to Oxford for my consultation and scan.
Awwww! I have a picture of Monty doing this that I sent to Rachel telling her to relax - she'd be much more impressed with a donkey! Neck issues are horrible - I must get myself down to the Physio for some more needling come to hunk of it. My sister has had trapped nerves - no fun at all!
Filler or no... fab shot - happy to see it. The look on the donkey's face is priceless. I hope your neuro issues resolve soon and successfully. Good luck!
How did I miss this one Jan. I love it. Your Donks are such good fun to look at. Big fav!
I hope you get your neck sorted soon. Have you considered a chiropractic? I go to one for my back when the pain gets too much instead of going to the doctor who puts you on such strong painkillers that you are still in pain but can't function either as they make you light headed! I was off work for a month a couple of years ago with spasms in my intercostal rib muscles. Went to chiropractic and with manipulation the pain had gone within a day! I suppose it's all to do with releasing trapped or squashed nerves.

Gorgeous shot and brought a smile to my face. FAV!
