All of the ones at the show were this colour @maggiemae, but when I looked them up online I think that there is quite a wide range of colours. Not sure about their temperament, but they certainly looked very calm - bet @happypat would know!
It is beautiful - I am reminded of my friend who grew up on a farm in NZ where the agricultural show arenas have huge stands for huge audiences. He was leading a bull, cow, calf trio around at the tender age of 16 and the bull decided to mount the cow in front. It was huge and he was trying to manage three animals so they completed most of the parade in that formation - you can imagine just how entertained the audience of farmers was and how much he wanted to escape from that ring!
@judithg I definitely can remember, I have led my two male donkeys through the village in exactly the same formation on more than one occasion, and it is very strange but our normally sleepy village always seems to become full of cars as soon as it happens.
@maggiemae@jantan yes pretty placid I believe not heard of any bad things about the Simmental...good mothers I think too. They are a great a great beef breed.......beautiful too.
