When I was in the kitchen the other day I looked out to see a yellow helicopter hovering very low over our field. At first I thought that it was the air ambulance and that it was going to land in the field. I then realised that it was inspecting the overground electricity cables over the whole village. I was a bit concerned that the donkeys would be terrified and so went out to check that they were OK.
The two old boys appeared to be completely unphased by the noise and the helicopter which was about 60 feet above their heads. Jack and Lilly were much more interested in proceedings and as the helicopter moved around the village they moved together around the field to keep an eye on it.
@happypat chubby cheeked Pat? I'll have you know that at our last donkey sanctuary inspection for the first time all four of them were given perfect body condition scores! I prefer to call them woolly ;0)
Perfect pose! It looks like you positioned them just so (don't move a muscle, you two) and then stepped back for the shot.
Such good donks they are, to follow instructions so well. I hope they got a treat for their good behaviour. ;-)
