got up very early this morning because I had convinced myself that there was going to be a really good sunrise. As soon as I looked out of the window I realised that this wasn't going to be the case, but thought I might as well go out anyway. Haven't been to Chesterton Mill for a while so headed in that direction. There was lovely filtered sunshine as I got out of my car and approached the mill, but that disappeared as soon as I got there. Fortunately I took one shot while the sun was out.
Other closer shots showing details of the mill from this morning:
@hasselhotch ooh that's exciting, look forward to seeing what you get. It is a great site especially early or late in the day. If you search for the tag jh-chesterton, you will see some shots I took earlier in the year in very different light if you are interested
The windmill doesn't work any more @maggiemae. It is usually quite windy up there and I believe that the wooden sails used to be covered in cloth to catch the wind
Jumping up and down... that wonderful mill again... and another fantastic shot!!! I see they have finally harvested the field beans.... wonder what will be planted next year. Did you see the windmill the year it was surrounded by the yellow rapeseed.. it was stunning.
Anyway enough rambling... Instant fav ♥
