the flies are just terrible this year, part of the payback for such a good summer I suppose.

You have managed to make this fly situation into a wonderful shot, I have been avoiding cows and some horses as I think the flies spoil the shot but not this shot, in a mad way they add to this composition.

Yeah poor thing - I've seen swarms of them round our poor town cows - cahows and rubbish bins in the same vicinity - nightmare.

Just saw this on the Flashback page - what a great shot! I always feel bad for those animals with those darn pesky flies! Good to know that there's a repellant that you can get for them. I've also seen the eye guards around horses.
