Suzy's flight from Peru was delayed yesterday, so it was around 3:30am when Michael and Suzy got home from Dulles airport. They had to be at Gunston Middle School early this morning so she could give three presentations about her research to middle school students at the STEM Conference (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). She was one of 14 presenters. The flier described her as: a Johns Hopkins graduate student in Public Health currently doing research in Puna, Peru. My husband and I sat in on the last presentation and it was FASCINATING. I took this photo in the classroom after her presentation--they don't look nearly as tired as they must feel.
