I stopped at the dog park on my way home for some panning practice. I didn't think I had anything worth keeping until I saw this shot, and it kind of grew on me. I have a few freeze-frame shots of two dogs wrestling that are pretty interesting, but I decided to use this one since I'm concentrating on learning to pan right now. It will be interesting to see my progress over time. I certainly hope that persistence will eventually pay off and I will master this technique.
If nothing else, today I learned that I should stop by the dog park more often even though I am definitely a cat person and don't have that much interest in dogs. They seem photogenic, though, and good for panning practice--more interesting than cars to photograph.
