NY Bound Golf Clubs

Entering and Exiting Clarendon Subway. Taken Thurs night, but posted for Sunday.

My husband talked to the man carrying golf clubs--he's on his way to NY. I took a couple shots because it just seemed strange to carry two golf clubs and a backpack on the subway. I picked this shot because it also has the man exiting the subway while playing with his electronic gadget. I cropped out the top since it seemed distracting. I posted the writer at Northside Social Thurs, partly because I wasn't sure this worked with their heads chopped off. But this has grown on me.

I read somewhere about a photographer who didn't sort and edit his photos until several weeks later so he could evaluate the images by themselves without memories of taking them. That reminds me of a writer who suggests putting your writing away for a few weeks so you can evaluate it more clearly. I'll have to go back and look at some of my old photos--there might be some that I prefer after they've sat for awhile. And others that I no longer like.
I sort of like the peoples heads being cut off. It is a different perspective, and i think that it can be a good thing, even if it is against all of the rules in photography books. (C.Smith)
