I was biking home from the National Book Festival on the mall when I saw the silhouette of a man doing pushups in front of his bicycle with the river in the background. I quickly got off my bike and pulled my camera out of my backpack, but by that time he was finished his pushups.
I took several photos since the light was good,, but none were as good as the one that got away, Eventually he did more pushups but the second time his bike was in between himself and the river so the silhouettes were jumbled instead of in line with each other.
I noticed this because the same man took a phone photo of the Lincoln Memorial. When I looked to see what he was photographing I saw this gorgeous light.
I like the contrast between the teeny tiny person and the huge columns. (M)
