Backlit Leaves

It was hard to select a single photo tonight. I like this one the best but I've posted several leaf photos lately.

This evening I discovered the Wednesday farmer's market sells Great Harvest bread. My favorite! I bought 2 loaves. I almost posted a photo of the market but I like this one better.

Simple says it all! I do wonder why these leaves don't have water droplets on them....isn't it raining in your area? :-)

@marytj Yeah, it seems like we've had continuous rain for weeks. But it wasn't raining when I took this and these leaves must have dried out. The sun is actually out, lighting them from behind. That's why they caught my eye.

Beautiful lighting. I find it interesting that the background is white, and I think I like it. Your farmer's market sounds a lot like the one near our area. My mom went there and got the "pure" milk. I think that I personalty like the "fixed" kind better. :) (M)

@smithfamily Thank you. I wasn't sure if I liked the stark white background (sky), but it seems like a good contrast to the leaves and I definitely prefer it to the more complex background in some of the other similar shots.

This is a small farmer's market with bread, fruit, veggies, and I think there might be cheese and meat. No raw milk at this one. I would also prefer homogenized milk myself although I mostly drink soy milk now. I think it takes awhile to develop a taste for raw milk. My brother has goats and originally planned to serve their milk to his large family but they never developed a taste for it.

This is really beautiful Joan. I was on chemo and haven't looked at your photos for a while. They are getting even better! I can see a big difference from the contemplative photography class.
