I thought I was going to need a filler for Thurs 9/29 since I didn't get out to take my camera out. I spent my photography time scanning old photos to use for a slide show at my son's wedding. I'm savoring old memories. I forgot how well my sons got along when they were young. I can see adoration in the youngest son's eyes when he looks at his older brother. They get along fine now, but they are not nearly as close as they were 20 years ago.
Anyway, I almost forgot about this shadow picture and posted a filler. I discovered it today when uploading a couple photos that I took this afternoon. I'm not sure if I really like it, but it is interesting and certainly different than most of my other shots. As the Smith family has said before, at least I took it today...
The lower reflection is a sailboat from the mobile that hangs in our front hall. I'm not sure what caused the interesting textured light above--that's what caught my attention. It might be wavy glass from the window on the landing at the top of the stairs.
It looks to me like a toaster with smoke coming out from having burnt the toast. At least it was today's toast :-D ..... Seriously, I think that making an attempt to post a current picture does help push us out of our comfort zone. To do something that we would not normally do. An important part of learning is to get out of the old ruts. Glad you posted a current pic. (N)
Oops. :-( I just re-read my last comment. I did not mean to say that I thought you were in an old rut. Just thinking about how posting a current picture has helped us by making us take a chance on something new/different. (N)
@smithfamily I agree on both counts. It does look like a toaster and it's good to try something different now and then. And I totally understand that you were talking in general and not implying that I in particular was in a rut.
