What was in the box? by jeneurell

What was in the box?

I've cheated a bit today and got my husband to take my photo - with my birthday present - a small etching press.
A very practical and useful gift, hope we see some results soon. Hope you had a lovely day Jennifer :)

Excited to see this. I studied a semester of print making during an Applied Arts course, and really enjoyed it once I got the hang of it. My major was textiles, but now I appreciate forms of print making in a different way. Hope we are treated to see some of your work down the track.

Oh wow. I wouldn't have a clue how to use this, but it looks like a great toy. Look forward to seeing some of the output.

@ethelperry Where did you study Ethel? I studied Fine Art with Curtin Uni in WA and some of the students in my final year were doing textiles. One student did a series of quilts as her final art project.

@jeneurell I retired from a dental career, studied a certificate course of 2 years, "Applied Art" in Melbourne. Unfortunately, ill health put a stop to most of my endeavours - except photography which was one of our subjects.

@jeneurell my major was woven tapestry. I look on it as painting with threads
