The main problem with taking zoom photos in the garden is that there is too much light. It was a bright sunny day so ISO 100, f 22 and 1/15 sec were used. I can't remember if I used any exposure compensation - but a minus would be the next step if the above didn't work.
@ludwigsdiana Zoom shots aren't difficult. I've taken this one hand held but it is probably easier on a tripod. Getting the exposure right is often the most difficult thing.
