52 Week Challenge: Week 13 - Something I have made
As an artist I often work with cyanotype. It is one of the original photographic processes dating back to around 1842 and invented by Sir John Herschel in England. It is a matter of mixing a couple of chemicals together, painting them onto paper or fabric, letting it dry, putting objects or a transparency on top, and then exposing it to sun or UV light. The little book in the front is made of cyanotyped teabags. It is also known as a 'blueprint' or 'sunprint' process.
