saw this strange phenomena this evening. Not sure if it is a rainbow or a reflection of the sun through the clouds as the sun was setting. There was defiantly an orange and a green. No apparent rainclouds visible either
@bkbinthecity I have since found out it is a sun dog. They are formed generally as the sun is setting ans the sun shines through the high cirrus clouds which contain ice crystals
