View from the summit of the mountain Almkogel to the foothills of the Alps.
Under the dense fog cover the lake Mondsee is hidden (Upper Austria).
Spellbinding, especially on black Fav!

An incredible image, the processing makes it so dramatic.
November 17th, 2016
Hey! I like this -- maybe the rocks and trees give it a bit more of a harder texture than what you normally do? Well done.

Dies freut mich wirklich sehr! In Oregon lebst du.

@sheilaj Dear Sheila, I would love to spend my time only with the experience of nature and photography, every day. But during the week I am very busy. I try to make the most of the time that is left to me - as much as possible - for internal collection, not for distraction. When I'm on my way, I take my pictures - sometimes more, sometimes less. And these pictures I share with you.
November 18th, 2016
@dyanstevens Dear Dyan - yes, the contrast between the hard rocks and the soft clouds are an important element in this picture.

@scotthouston
Dear Scott, "what I normally do"... I try to do the right thing in the situation. This can be very different from time to time. Certainly everyone develops an own "style". But it should not be a manner which is laid without empathy over the particular. I think a subject should always be re-considered. It should be possible that the motif speaks first, and it is important to listen.
November 18th, 2016
@catsmeowb Dear Camille - yes, I like the shape contrast between the rocks and the clouds.

@jerome Hallo Jerome.
November 18th, 2016
@irisn Seit 18 Jahren lebst du also in Oregon. Interessant!
November 18th, 2016
@jerome Understand; let me compliment you on your versatility and eye, then. Thanks for the explanation.
November 18th, 2016
Incredible view xx
November 18th, 2016
Like a scene from Lord of the Rings! Fabulous stuff!
November 18th, 2016
Looks very high! Must be difficult to climb up. But view is stunning.
November 19th, 2016
@scotthouston You're welcome! I like talking about photography. Unfortunately, my English is not so good, for more demanding conversations it is not enough. I am afraid my writing is inelegant.

@psychographer @dkay Thank you, Lisa and DKay, for your nice comments! :)

@vesna0210 Dear Vesna, the Almkogel is not a high mountain - 1030 meters. And it is not very difficult to climb - up to the last meters to the summit, you have to be careful.
For me a real mountain starts from 2000 meters. But I do not always have the time to go so far. And especially in autumn the days are very short. The incorrectly assessed duration of daylight is often the cause of accidents in the mountains. Therefore, it is advisable to make shorter trips during this time of the year.
November 19th, 2016
Dear @jerome, thank you very much for your kind answer.
November 20th, 2016
@vesna0210 You are welcome!
November 20th, 2016
A Stunning view, Jerome! And your processing makes it appear completely timeless, as if your great-grandfather could have taken it.
