Fantastic image and kind of captures they way I've felt on a few rainy, cold, Monday mornings, trying to be a spot of brightness in an otherwise bleak world.
I always wanted a rainbow colored umbrella, and finally got one. Now I want a red umbrella! Though, we don't get much rain and there's really not much use for one around here. Still ... This is so cool!
I hope that it would not betray you if I said that I loved this image almost as much as those from your beloved Dachstein mountain. You are an artist with great observation skills.
@helenhall Dear Helen, thank you very much for your nice lines. Of course, I am very pleased if you like this picture.
Dachstein - most kind of you, that you call him my beloved mountain.
It's true - he is a very special mountain for me. But in my pictures, I have no real preference for the subject. Everything can be interesting - a tree, a flower, a cloud, a cat, a house... of course also people... But - like everyone else - my pictures are an echo of my daily experiences and perceptions, the reflection of the things I went through. Certainly I take pictures of the places where I like to be, of things I like to look at. But it's always about how to make use of the means of colour, the light-dark, the ponderation, the directions, how the lines and shapes of an image are organized; which effect they produce in interaction; what gestures and expressions are created. I think each picture demands a special attention in its own way. Sometimes the result convinces more, sometimes less. I'm never really sure myself.
@aecasey Thanks for your nice comment! No rain in Nebraska? It has been raining a lot here in the valleys for days, sometimes there is snow. In the mountains is the deepest winter, the avalanche danger is great.
Best regards to Nebraska!
@jerome when you have time, it is good that you can share these things, when you don't we just enjoy your wonderful images. Hope the stress of work subsides in one way or another - for the sake of your health and contentment.
@jerome right back at you on this one...I struggle to give 365 the time I would like due to work and other commitments and you can only do what you can...always loving your images and this one is a definite fave 💕
@jesperani Thank you, Jennifer, for your nice comment!
I admire your work very much - so much sensitivity...
I think it is all about to look into colour, lines, shapes, chiaroscuro, gestures, expression, proportion, ponderation, appearance... and their connections. An infinite sphere...

Thank you very much for this overwhelming feedback ...! Again I have to apologize that I do not respond adequately to the many so nice comments. Unfortunately I do not have the time to do all I want to do ... The job is pretty stressful. I would like to show more and say to my approach, how I look at a picture, what I do, think, feel ...
