@stefanotrezzi Thank you very much. I hope some return this summer, they are always a delight - if difficult - to photograph

@koalagardens Thank you, they are wonderful little moths, but not very co-operative!

Wow, I hope to catch a humming bird some day. Do these have the same flight pattern or do they fly like moths?

@joev My experience of Hummings Birds is limited to a holiday a couple of years ago and it took me to the last day! to get semi decent pics. ( I blame incomplete knowledge of camera LOL) Both fly erratically, zooming to their target, hovering and feeding for a few seconds and then head to another target. At least with the birds you can attract them to feeders which you cannot do for moths. Good luck in your quest, look forward to seeing the results.

Wow, how wonderful to see this. Photographing a hummingbird is on my bucket list.

I hope you manage to find and photograph a Humming Bird. Stupidly I had believed that because I'm reasonably adept at photographing the HBH Moth I would have little difficulty with the tiny bird. WRONG! I doubt I'll ever have another chance so I'll be happy to get OK pics of the moths when they visit - IF they visit!
Thanks for the comment and good luck in your search
