A team from St Nicholas Fields in York have been planting Alder Buckthorn in the hope of encouraging Mrs Brimstone to deposit her precious eggs. This is the first Mrs B I've seen this year and already the planting is a success.

@365projectorgchristine @fbailey thank you both. They can be very difficult to find if you don’t see where they land in a tree. In this instance it’s easy because the leaves are not fully open yet. Intend going back with my specs and the little macro lens in search of eggs. Watch this space!
