Once again, 3rd time this year, the larger of York's 2 rivers has decided to become an Amazon. The riverside walks are under water, Rowntree Park is flooded and homes have water only feet from their garden walls.

@koalagardens It is indeed, but 2 years ago the park, top left, was completely under water for weeks, the bench was covered, homes & businesses were evacuated by the search & rescue teams. ..
I'm not sure if it has peaked yet at 3.6 metres above normal, but we still have run off from the Dales to drain into the Ouse.

@stownsend Thanks, Suzie. I doubt there will have been much, if any, damage to property in this flood unlike that of Christmas 2015 which wasn't quite as deep - by about an inch - but was far more extensive.

Oh, no! Flooding can cause so much damage. We have flash floods quite often where I live in Texas. I'm happy to read in your comments that this flooding hasn't caused much damage.
@gaylewood We've all seen footage of the devastation, injury and death floods can cause. Horrible, horrible sights and unbearable for those affected. 2 years ago we had one from which some businesses still haven't fully recovered, areas which normally are not affected were under deep water. This current episode is the third of 2018 and well contained by our flood measure, but still worrying for those who know they MAY be affected.
