-51 degrees today (REAL temperature, NOT windchill!) meant our small planes couldn't fly until it warmed up to -35. I finally headed home this evening, but our district's basketball students are stranded all over the region because district policy won't let them fly at -30 or colder. They should have all been back in their villages by Saturday evening, but are all stuck until at least tomorrow. It is VERY cold here!! Happy to be home. :-)
I hope the students are being well cared for. I'm sure their families are concerned about them. Glad you're home safe, and I hope it warms up soon for you.
@mona65@kerrynz@spooling@thistle@teachntravel@novab@mbemis@dardarbinx@cathieg@finster@chris17 THANKS for the comments and favs everyone! I LOVE seeing your reactions to all this! It re-kindles my own sense of adventure after 8 years up here. This picture is not really of water. I'm flying over the vast tundra that has all kinds of soggy bogs on it and you can see the one of the many streams snaking through it. I really appreciate your interest in my corner of the world! Thank you all!
