Battle of the Books

This gadget represents our afternoon distance Video Teleconference that tied our 11 villages together in a geographical area of 40,000 square miles (total population, 7,500 people!). I am coaching the K-2nd Battle of the Books kiddos and this afternoon it was the Kindergartener's chance to compete. The little troopers managed to stay focused until 5:30 pm! Whew! (This is the microphone that they just can't keep their hands off of!)

I personally do not like telco's, but in your part of the world it seems to be fun. Great shot.

Amazing what a difference this little piece of technology must make to isolated communities Joan.

We spoke on one of these at an accountant's office. Your use of it sounds much more fun. Plus, you've turned it into a story and an artistic design. Fav for your creativity.

@cruiser @mona65 @thistle @mbemis These teleconferences ARE fun when the kids are involved; NOT fun when our district-wide staff meetings and in-services are on them! Thanks for the comments and for the favs!!
