I know I've posted a very similar shot in the past, but I really like those 3 things. And this is in Calgary, not Halifax. I'm testing out 2 wide angle zooms while I'm here. I only had the Sigma 10-20 with me out and about on Sat. evening because I couldn't figure out how to get the Tokina 11-16 AF sorted. Now sorted; necessary part of the lens manual has been read. Whoops, I see I haven't changed my camera's clock yet.
I'm currently situated in Victoria, having previously lived in Beijing, Halifax, Chilliwack, Calgary, Vancouver and growing up in Northwestern Ontario. My aim with photography is...
The Tokina switches to manual by pulling the focusing ring down and to auto by pushing the focusing ring up. Here is a review. Go to 2:50 to see how to switch from manual to auto focus (but you may want to watch the whole review)
@onarom Wow, let's try that again: good overall review video! I watched all of it. Wish he did a Sigma 10-20 one too, though. He did say (a couple times) that he liked the Tokina better than the Sigma or Canon.
But I have also heard people argue that there is a significant plus to being able to go down to 10mm (as opposed to 11mm). I guess it all comes down to what qualities you prefer the most.
On that note, did you make a decision on which one you like better?
