One last kick at the cat. [PRUDENCE]

For some of the virtues, I have to look up the definitions (prudence: provident care in the management of resources; economy; frugality). Frugal? Oh yes, that's me. When I packed my bag for Calgary, in it I put: my cycling gear, 15 clean undies, office attire, pumpkin pie spice, camera kit and cat mask. Use #5 (ish). The cat mask is now living out its last days in Red Deer, Alberta. My friend Robin (pictured here) said that since it was a pink sparkley kitty, her 5-year old would love it.

Our day started off right by getting stuck behind a traffic blockade while trying to find a cheap place to park Robin's car for the day. We had debated sticking around to watch the Pride Parade, so that decision was made for us. The one in Halifax was much better, though (no offense Calgary). Then we walked, ate cream puffs, sushi and gelato (not one right after the other), lurked in a cemetery, complained about how hot it was, and did not at all reminisce about high school. Good day.
I like this black and white

took me a moment spotting the cat. ;) I really like the shadow coming from the grave-thing in the middle. It gives so much athmosphere.

excellent. Like a spooky B&W horror trip with a twist of colour and a splash of silliness.

nice shot, I don't travel without a mask of some kind in my case, good call. I thought of you, I'm reading Annabell by Kathleen Winters, I think it's based up your end of the woods, beautiful landscape descriptions. What does pumpkin pie spice consist of?

@chewyteeth Oh, I've heard of that one - I want to read it eventually. Labrador is still pretty far from me, but does fit the 'Eastern Canada' bill. I checked the tin for you: cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, cloves and sulphites (hmmm). No, I don't know what's in allspice. ;)

@jgoldrup allspice is a spice, it's not 'all spices'. Funny that my friend yesterday asked if we can make pumpkin pie over the fall when they're in the shops so I was curious, I may be refering back to this list when we get round to it, sounds yum, I guess pumpkin is a bit like potato that it's pretty bland so it would need a lot of other flavours. I knew it was big in N.America.
The book is amazing, sorry, I forget how frickin big that place is, I read a passage about the landscape and the culture and I just thought it was up your street. Beautiful writing.
