I found this stone on my expedition to Glen Roy yesterday.
After the Jacobite Rebellion of 1745 Roman Catholics were persecuted and forbidden to celebrate Mass. So they used to meet secretly out of doors in remote places. This stone has a Communion cup and host etched into it (can you see it?) and was used by the priest as a Communion table.
A special place and I paused to give thanks for those faithful believers.
