Glowing E.coli

My students do a lab where they induce E.coli (a harmless strain!) to pick up DNA containing a gene that produces a fluorescent glowing protein. They view the bacteria under ultraviolet light to see the glow. This student was successful, as you can see by the glowing dots in the petri dish 🦠
