Flash Practice

Went out this afternoon to do some learning and practice on flash use. This shot was done in the shade, using a single off camera flash place to the image left and ahead of the subject.
Did a few shots with different settings and the resulting images showed variations. Questions to be researched and some discussion on what makes a better image.

I like this. A little shadow to the right of his nose and face, adds dimension and is not over done. Nice job bro! Is that a Nikon camera strap on his neck?

Yes, that is a Nikon strap around the neck.

Great subject giving that Mona lisa look. Not easy to get the lighting right with flashers

@dkbarnett Thank you Delwyn. Until now I have been using flash with "brute strength and ignorance". Started trying to develop some knowledge of how to do it and consistently get nice results. Definite learning curve.
