I think I'm back! And since I both started and finished my original 365 project with a shot from this exact same place (Tivoli Sariola, in town for May Day celebrations), I returned to the scene of the crime once more. ;)
Why the return, you ask? Well. For a couple of reasons. First of all, I think I'm finally over the rough patch, which I suppose was some sort of a bout of depression this past fall / winter. And secondly, this following year has the potential to be worth remembering, so I thought I'd try to keep a photo diary of it.
I'm not promising daily posts or magnificent pieces of photographic art, but a bit more active presence I think. Just a bit. And mostly diary shots, I think. I'm still primarily posting in Flickr and FB (+500px +my blog), but hey, I'll try to squeeze in some love for the dear old 365 as well.
Oh, and the new thing for this round. Film! I've acquired a very retro Yashica-A and will be posting those shots whenever there's a chance. May even be getting my hands on an old Hasselblad, so that should be fun, too.
So there. Hi again, all. Hope to see you around. :)
Welcome back Johanna, nice to see you posting again! Love the crisp colours here, and that blue sky is so blue, so blue you´d want practically dive into that. I like the idea to connect everything together, how it all starts where it ends and then starts again at the same place, I´m a sucker for "order" like that :) Been visiting your sites even thou I´ve not leave a comment, I like your recent work very much.
@shelle_johnson@joeymc Thank you, ladies! :) Reflects my mood of late, happy to say. @susale Thanks so much! And I'm super happy to hear you've been checking my shots out elsewhere. No need to leave comments there. But thank you in any case. And I think it's good to be back. We'll see how things go. ;)
@joa I hope things will go well, and in any case I´m happy to hear this reflect your mood, glad to hear you are happy again and have lots of expectations from this year, you deserve to be happy:) Hyvää vappua :)
Hei Johanna, I have started to follow you shortly before you ended your project. I am glad you are back because I really like your photos!!! Ja hauskaa vappua from me aswell ;-)
@westcoastwallis Heh, yeah, looky looky. :D It may yet turn into a full scale disaster. :D @eevarita Good to be back. I think. ;) @kanelipulla Yeah, I remember feeling a bit bad for you and a few other people who followed me just before or after I quit. But glad to see you stuck around and didn't clean me right off your list of people you follow. Thank you for that. :) Hauskaa (ja lumista) vappua Turusta! ;) @padlock I'm loving my Yashica, but dang, with only 12 frames per film, it's a slow process of shooting. Have to think carefully what to capture. ;) But I will definitely post film shots here, that's a promise. @louuncouth I thought it only told volumes of the boring routines of my life. :D I'm a slave to my traditions. ;) But nevertheless, I'm looking forward to seeing what will come of this round. :) @houdiniem Thanks, Em! :) @johnnyfrs Ah, well, such is life. All about endings and beginnings. But you can keep on lurking as well. That's what I did. Kept an eye on 365, all quiet and hidinglike. ;) @janim Hotdamn those tight tights! Hahah!
I always loved that shot. So much colour - it makes me smile. Think I'll be leaving Flickr and going over to 500. All my contacts left when Getty didn't renew. I'll still do my 52 Week Project at Flickr...
@kass I loved that shot, too. ;) Still have it as my desktop image. Which is why I just had to go and get a new shot, and process it a bit differently. ;) I'm still in Flickr, mostly because that and FB are the places where I can post some less than stellar images as well. ;) I still feel kinda intimidated by 500, so I only post there what I consider to be my strongest work.
@mej2011 Didn't even recognize it for almost exactly the same shot I've done before? :D (For the exact same reasons - I love to go and shoot the colourful gadgets / rides against a bright blue sky!)
@mej2011 Well, not a problem for me, since mine is basically the same. :D Plus it's always good that I can go and shoot the same stuff again and again - and at least one person will be kinda suprised. :D
@susale Thanks so much! And I'm super happy to hear you've been checking my shots out elsewhere. No need to leave comments there. But thank you in any case. And I think it's good to be back. We'll see how things go. ;)
You're not one to leave loose ends. The connections you make from past to present make me smile. I'm so glad to see you back!

Love all the colors.
Ask @westcoastwallis , my memory is horrible!
