I'm back home from a ridiculously awesome trip to Rome. I have walked more than ever, seen so much, experienced so much... And I brought back some 1200+ digital photos and about a hundred frames of film shot, I think. Not too bad.

But it's going to take me a while to go through it all (not to even mention getting all of the films developed...), so expect me to drop a file or two per day, at maximum.

Wow. Rome.

And I begin with a shot of a wall. I saw this shot when we sat outside, having our first Roman lunch. (I kinda shot a lot of walls in Rome, heh.)
a fine wall it is, like!

Reminds me of Amy's texture shots. :)
Hope you had a lovely time.

@janim Nice one for a first wall in Rome. :D My new friends looked at me kinda strangely, though, when I said I was seeing a shot. :D
@kwind Thanks! :)
@humphreyhippo I noticed during my two weeks that it's impossible for me to shoot stuff in Rome without it looking a bit like Amy's work. But that's just how the city looks like! :D And yes, I had a lovely time. Sweated like crazy most of the time (+35C and sight-seeing city walks aren't a match made in heaven, but in the other place instead), but boy, did I get to see Rome. :)

@joa There are worse things than taking shots like Amy's. ;)

@humphreyhippo Sure are, especially if taking them means I'm in Italy. :D

Lou
I was thinking of Amy as well - definitely not a negative thought :)
This is too neat. What an aesthetically pleasing little wall!

@louuncouth I suppose that after seeing so much of Amy's and Jani's work, my eyes have learned to notice similar things, too. :) But the wall was indeed really nice. The shot was originally going to be a lot more contrasty, but the service in the restaurant was so slow that the sun disappeared behind the building and I ended up with a more indirectly lit wall, which of course is more Amy's style.
