Palatine Hill weeds

I'm continuing my series of totally random shots from Rome. But this just happens to be my fave frame from the day, and it was on the Palatine Hill.

The ancestors of these weeds may have been walked on by Emperor Augustus himself! Whoa! (Hahahaha!)

This is a really cool shot and I love the idea that a great emperor may have once trod on their ancestors!!

@joeymc It really is a lot of fun thinking of the possibilities in a place like this. So much has happened there - and these weeds were not too far away from the houses of Augustus & Livia, the emperor and his wife. Who knows... :D (Yeah, I have a vivid imagination, heh.)

@kwind @northy Thank you ladies! :) I was thinking exactly the same, that the shot will be a good one in b&w, when I took it. Somehow the light was so perfect. Pretty weed!
