Heheheee. The Man was more than willing to do some walking when I asked him to. This corridor (or aisle...) was too tempting. How nice that I didn't have to stalk strangers to get this shot.
@janim Heh, no. I was paying this time around, so he would've wanted me to go with him. ;) So this is just a bit of a walk before returning to the cabin. ;)
@humphreyhippo@shannejw It is a corridor meant for photographs. :) You can't even see how long it is in this shot, as The Man is nowhere near the other end and that way he blocks the view. But with the nearly perfect symmetry and reflections and lights, it's a cool bit of design within the ship. @louuncouth A bit of Hitchcock - or even a bit of Shining... I would totally freak out, if there ever was a kid on a tricycle in this corridor! :D
The Man is into photography, but somewhat less than I am. I did borrow him my previous camera and he's super happy using it - and he's asking me for opinions of his shots, so he's definitely working on his skills. But he is a graphic artist & designer, so he's good with PS and drawing and has an excellent artistic eye in any case. :) We're already planning an art project combining photography and drawing, my work and his work. We'll see what comes of it. :)
@joa That is awesome, Johanna. What better way to connect with someone! Your future project sounds quite interesting - I hope you get to share the results someday. But do keep on the lookout for any creepy twins or unusual flocks of birds. If you're on a ship you can't escape.
...On a completely unrelated topic (though I guess not terribly unrelated for me), I'm sure you know your English is better than 80 percent of the native populace, which is why I don't feel bad pointing this out (and I'm half betting it was just a typo anyway), but in any case, one "borrows" what someone "lends [to]" them :)
@louuncouth Ah, totally appreciate the correction. It's a mistake I do frequently make. There's only one verb for borrow/lend in Finnish and I hate to admit it, I often fail to remember to make the difference in English. :D
Oh, at first I thought that hey I was on Grace on last Saturday too...then I realised that I was week before that and it was not Grace but Baltic Queen ( I was on Grace that monday -yep two cruises in one week can mess a mind :D...and neither did I have any window on that Cruise). Very cool how you shot this, those reflections give so much edge to this and there´s something a bit hounting about this that fascinates me!
@susale Two cruises! :D Yeah, I can see how that could mess with your mind. :D But you would've seen the Von Hertzen Brothers last Saturday on Grace, that's why I booked the cruise for us. :)
@joa No pöh, you got far more better entertainment than me on monday evening :D Mut ei olis pystynyt viime lauantaina siel oleen kuiteskaan, ku piti olla koko viikonloppu kouluttautumassa.
@susale Juu, pitää nykyään vähän pyrkiä katsomaan milloin lähtee laivalle, jos asiaan voi vaikuttaa. RRS:n bilekeikat oli Isabellalla eeppisiä, Gracellakin ihan jees. On mulla varaus syyskuullekin, mut luultavasti se peruuntuu.
@joa Mä olen vähän kyllästynyt tohon laivailuun, varsinkin koko risteilyihin. Picnikin nyt aina jaksaa vetää ku pääsee illaksi kotiin mut toki oikealla viihdetarjonnalla.....
@susale Me käytiin yhden ystävän kanssa Isabellalla aika useinkin tuossa muutama vuosi sitten, katsomassa just tota meidän kavereiden rock cover -bändin puuhastelua. :D
