@katiebrenkert challenged me to take a picture of shadows. I loved the idea but so many things got in the way. Sorry I haven't done it justice. Just playing around in Photoshop.
You need to tag @katiebrenkert in a Comments box to let her know you have posted - tags in the description box don't trigger an alert. I think you're being too hard on yourself this is a strong image... It would have been even stronger if you had processed out the clutter in the bottom corners.
@vignouse Posted at the end of a long day. Another instance where I post to fill my spot people actually look. does any one see the white shadow I put there,
@katiebrenkert I did forget to notify you. Trouble was I was heading to bed and just plain forgot. I saw several pictures with bicycle shadows and decided to try one. Then took my two pictures of partial bikes and combined them.
@joansmor Yes, I saw the white shadow... part of what prompted me to say this is a strong image. Don't be discouraged Joan, you're doing great as evidenced by increase in the number of comments and favs you've been getting lately. But it's a double edged sword; as you up your game, people come to expect that as the norm for you and you have to strive to stay there.
@joansmor I hadn't! I saw it as lines like you'd see on a children's playground and didn't look more closely. I see it now, of course -- and it's even more cleverly done! How did you create a white shadow??
@taffy I have another picture. I selected the shadow on that one and filled a separate layer on this picture using that selection in white. (the two pictures were combined) Then used a blend mode. Viola white shadow.
