From the garden

Took my camera to work but on my lunch hour I discovered the battery was in need of charging. So no photos. So posting seconds from yesterday. Hope you enjoy.
I just want to thank you all for your lovely comments, favs and for taking "Sharing a Table" and "Drinking the nectar of the Gods" to both TP and PP. Wow two in a roll, I'm honored.
This shows good craftsmanship: crisp focus, saturated colours without going OTT, the full tomato colour range so the shot informs us on the growth cycle, a dark background to draw the eye to the main subject, and finally, excellent composition with the diagonal placing of the branch creating dynamic tension in the image. Good work Joan.

Ugh! Glad I'm not the only one who does that (or I realize that my SD card is in my computer and not in my camera). Great tomatoes!

We didn't try an grow tomatoes this year. Have terrible luck the past two years. This makes me miss not being able to look forward to our first red one and fried green tomatoes!

Almost a time lapse, from tomato to tomato. Very nice!

I like that on the same branch you have the range of development of the tomato. Cleverly done. Frustrating re the battery -- and great news re TP and PP!

Too cool!

@vignouse I wanted to show I listen - the butterfly was tilted too. I tried to photograph titled but unfortunately that wasn't the clearest one. So did it in the crop.

@skipt07 These are cherry tomatoes. I probably won't get any because there is barely enough for him and his sisters family. Good thing I have an excellent farm stand to go to.

@joansmor With shots like this I try to frame in camera and then usually take a second one with a little 'wiggle room' as insurance just in case I need it in edit.

Well done on the double TP and PP - a just reward for all your efforts. The downside of success is that you'll begin to need more Favs and Comments to make PP as the 'magic monkeys' will make you work harder for your fix... a fiendishly clever way of encouraging us to improve our skills!

The composition here is fabulous. I love it

@vignouse I read the explanation of this in the discussion area and understand it. Pressure on going to Portland on my day off to get the car repaired. Hoping to get into the Old Port area in search of numbers for my get-pushed. If you are still on and have any suggestions or anyone else. Cool would love leaving in about 2 hours.

I love the way they're lined up like daughters at court or something. (got some in my yard finally, btw; not nearly so well-ordered)
