Scrapping up the yummy bits

Decided to combine my two hobbies. Making Sherried Pumpkin Soup for my supper. Just added a little stock to the pan to lift those yummy bits up before I added the rest of stock and the pumpkin puree. Love soup on a cold night. Hope you are finding a nice way to stay warm or cool.
ahhhh yummy way to warm up - have not heard of sherried pumpkin soup - looks delicious - great PoV

Soup is good Joan! We normally eat our main meal in the evening with something lighter at lunchtime and in the Winter, this is invariably home-made soup... today's was courgette (zuchini) and celery. This one looks as if it is going to be good!

@vignouse Soup and a salad is my main meal. My mother was a big soup maker and we often had big bowls for supper. Now for me it is a good idea because I am on a losing weight kick.

soup of the evening, beautiful soup (isn't that a song from alice in wonderland?) We have soup all the time. The Swiss tell their children, "eat your soup so you'll grow big and strong."

Now that's new to me Joan, and I love soup. Is sherries pumpkin soup your own invention or a common soup across the pond. I think I need to find a recipe. If it's your own invention would you mind sharing.

@ceilidh Mine is the healthy version from Spark Recipes on line. I am always trying new recipes. I have 4 or 5 for pumpkin soup. There is one with more things in it at Cooks.com. I think pureed pumpkin makes a wonderful healthy soup. Try one - you'll like it.

Interesting recipe. Maybe not healthy but we've here soup called "sopa de ajo" ( garlic soup ) that is very good for cold days.

@jborrases 189 calories per serving pretty healthy to me. Also had yogurt for creaminess which adds dairy and protein.
