Looking at tree tops

I don't know why when I go to this spot (a boat launch) I get captivated by the tree tops but I do. And since we had temperatures that didn't rise above 25f and windchills that were chilling I again left my camera at home. I mean I knew I wasn't getting out of my warm car to photograph anything. SO using this one from last week.

I'm guessing that this is also a bracketed and merged image - it has worked well here to preserve both shadow and highlight detail. Looks like Spring at least!

Ha ha! I've been busy and not been able to look at photos on 365 lately (unfortunately) for the past few days so when I saw this photo (small version), I thought they were palm trees and then I thought, oh my, Joan gave up on the cold weather and went away. Heh heh....
