Mrs Duck makes an appearance

My mallard had a friend (it is spring after all) and thought she should make an appearance also. I wanted to post it last night but met a friend for supper and when I got home I couldn't quite stay awake long enough to post. Thank you all for your visits and you took my goldfinch to pp which was a joy because I was so pleased with that little bird. The improvement I have achieved in my bird photos is due to 365. I learn from my repeated attempts and from looking at all your wonderful works. Let's hope these ducks produce some ducklings.
I didn't realise Mrs Mallard had a little bit of green on her head too. It is amazing the things you learn on this site. Lovely shot.

@dianen I took these ducks at the pond by mill creek pond. That isn't too far from you. Just a hint if you need a place to shot.

As a fan of the color brown, I find Mrs. Mallard a very lovely lass. I too hope there are ducklings in her future so that you'll have photo opportunities!

She looks very serene and content with her lot Joan, an example to us all! There is another reason why your bird photography is improving - as confirmed by the Exif data, you are making sound decisions about focal length for the image and the camera settings appropriate to that focal length... well done you.
