April is Autism awareness month and blue is their color. So are you aware? A couple of members have children or grandchildren with autism and I want to send them a hug today. I am sure they sometimes feel out of sync like this blue pipe.
Thanks Joan, Autism affects a lot of families that I know and work with. I could go on and on but if people are concerned about this epidemic...research the links between Monsanto and autism. I think this may be the link we all need to be healthier people. (ok off my soap box now)
Joan, this is such a perfect tribute for Autism Awareness. The image is lovely, but the blue pops in a way that makes you ask, why? And your narrative tells the story well.
You've pushed the processing to the point where it begins to look like a pencil drawing and I think it works fabulously well for this image and what it represents... well done.
The B&W of the image is a unit, working together. The blue pole seems conspicuously, out of place, very much like autism can make a family feel. Excellent representation in the month of awareness.
Thanks for the hug Joan. My youngest grandson was diagnosed late last year. It took until he was eight for it to be accomplished. It was a very trying few years as everything that went wrong at school was blamed on his behaviour. Eventually my daughter asked her doctor to arrange for him to be assessed as he was becoming more and more stressed! Great shot
Very fitting shot for the month!
