My nephew came over to say there was a strange bird in the yard. It was a Pileated Woodpecker. I was wondering if I would ever get one for me project. He hung around loving those berries (seeds?) and almost oblivious to us. I took a lot o pictures none of the great for seeing all the bird but liked his eye on this one because you can see the black and the colored parts. Hope I get a better sometime. Had my shorter lens on. My sister said to get my long lens, but every time, I stop on my way to get a better lens I lose the short because the bird flies away. So I thought my shorter lens did pretty good and when I did change the lens he did fly away.
Fabulous! My son told me there was a woodpecker on the smaller pine tree just outside our fence when he was outside practicing with his bow the other day....course, he told me this two hours later!
