Black - White

Trying to see what I might post this morning I came across this picture and thought about my stove a couple of days ago. I started to play - pushed to over expose and get rid of the sky and water then brushed over the ship to get the exposure lowered. Turned it bw and played with the sliders. Then took it to PS where I made a duplicate layer and did a blend mode and then play a little with duo tone using a very light gray and black. I kind dig it and hope you will too.
Great shot. I really like it in B&W.

This really appeals to me. Minimalist but you can see all the relevant details. Great processing.

Our favorite cruise line, but it looks like a smaller ship. Do they go from your neighborhood on to the color cruises? Maybe they can't take too large a ship down the St Lawrence. At any rate, I LOVE what you did...you played so nicely! I'm impressed you can remember the steps you took to get here. By the time I like something, I can't recall how I did it! I'm always starting new!

Your processing is really impressive and led to a wonderful result. The composition has such clean lines, and all the details of the ship pop.

Very cool! It reminds me of something out of the 1950's for some reason.
