What a day! Driving to the Amish area we side tracked numerous times - sometimes on purpose and sometimes by accident. We did so with confidence because Esmeralda (what we are calling the Garmin for Oct) always gets us back on track. We have pictures of corn fields ready to have the silo corn cut, Amish in buggies (mostly from behind, horses, donkies, hay, farms, farmhouses and more. BUT to keep our energies up for the afternoon ride to Front Royal we decided on the Good n Plenty for lunch. This is a PA dutch restaurant serving food family style. We had our meal with Jack, Julie and their daughter Clair. Beef, ham loaf, fried chicken, chow chow, turkey salad, pepper cabbage slaw apple butter, bread, c orn, mixed veggies, mashed potatoes, browned noodles ice tea, cheese cake, cracker pudding, ice cream and soft bottom shoe fly pie. We didn't try apple crumb pie or the lemonade. Richard all I can say is when in Rome do as the Romans do. We did not take huge servings of anything. We stopped here around 1:30 at about 10:30 we shared a Dutch bread pretzel. Supper is very light. Skyline drive tomorrow. For

I'm going out for Mexican food tonight but you have me wishing it was Amish. Actually there is an Amish community just 7 miles from here so I have tried most of what you mentioned.
