I have tried to live by a rule lately. If you get a fabulous shot. Take the shot even if it is not perfect. Then move in or change lens - what ever and go for the shot you want. The reason is the object of your photography may have plans of their own. So this is cropped to beat the band but I have an Elk that I spotted as we were leaving the Smokies. This is for @junko who was just a tad bit envious when I told her. The way I feel when I see those wonderful pictures from that deerpark in England. But she will probably not be very envious when she see this sad little picture. LOL But I have an elk for my project. Check Mark.
I agree with that ploy! Except mine are generally all out of focus or shaky and get deleted. However I will get better but don't think I will get one like this!
But you saw one!!! We drove half the Cades Cove route and didn't see much of any wildlife -- just a lot of 'lone trees'! But so nice that you at least saw one! I too, envy the English team!
@adi314 Adi I add the tag to each jrgp (which is my initials and gp for get pushed). Then when you click on one of the tags you get a page with all your gp etries. You can then copy that ip address as a link into your profile. Does this make sense to you. And then the only problem is remember to add the tag or going back and adding it. Do you know how to edit old posts. If not let me know.
My husband was Elk hunting this last week and would loved to have seen one of these. Glad he didn't,...but I won't tell him that. hahah! Lovely capture of this magnificent creature.
