Sunrise Christmas Morn by joansmor

Sunrise Christmas Morn

I got to Old Orchard Beach pier this morning to try to play with my nd filters again. Still not quite where I want it, but think I am learning more. You will laugh but I just finished today a book that quite got me scared about being out alone. So I was pleasantly surprised to find several other here to enjoy the pleasant weather we are having and to run into a woman with tripod. I headed right over to her because it made me feel less alone. We never saw the sunrise because of the clouds but still liked this. Drove up the coast from here stopping at several places and on the way back had lunch at LL Bean which was pretty busy. There I talked to a minister and his daughter. What a lovely day I had.
This is beautiful, Joan! I love the reflections and the cool tones. Just lovely!

This is excellent Joan - you're getting there with the ND filter, but it's also a question of picking the right scene to make the most of the effect. Fav for me.

@vignouse You will laugh - well maybe you won't - but I have been reading a book that made me nervous to be out there alone and so seeing a fellow photographer (a woman) I gravitated to her, Which but me too far from the waves. But it turned out every one I bumped into was so nice, including the minister and his daughter,
