Forgot my long lens - dang!

I got out and drove yesterday. Good thing I stayed off the main roads mostly because I was really crawling along. We went to take pictures first and right away I saw I left my long lens at home. I was so proud that I checked the battery. But hey it is my first picture to post taken with my real camera so I am happy. If you look closely you can see a Canadian Goose have a meal bottoms up,

Isn't it always the way? If I ever go out with only one or even two lenses, it always seems that I want one that is still at home:)

Nice seasonal transition landscape.. It always saddens me when I see a goose by itself since they are always in twos.. It always gets me thinking about where their mate is...
