Finally remembering to continue my Throwback series. I took a ton of pictures on the Blue Ridge but the pollution that now hangs over the mountains made the pictures kind of dull. I worked most of the day with this picture trying different methods to bring some life to it. The dehaze slider could not satisfactory reduce all the haze and bring a good color to the photo. I ended up with this version where I did a little colorcast removal and added a color gradient.
For me, a city dweller it is a stunning shot, but reading your narrative and looking at the shot in more detail I can understand your frustration. But I still love it!
