Momma on the nest? by joansmor

Momma on the nest?

I can only hope. @milaniet posted a picture of a month Canadian Goose with gooselings. I want a picture like that and am keeping an eye on this one. Keep your fingers crossed for me. It snowed here today as predicted. It'll be all gone by tomorrow but am posting a etsooi pic of snow in my neighborhood to fill in one of my missing spots.
I see that you caught this in morning light. Its wonderful.

You really did well to find her - she's nicely camouflaged. Got to google and see how long they usually sit on a nest. I have another I'm watching, too.

I just googled it and it says they'll sit 25-28 days after they lay the last egg - babies will be open and moving in a day then stay with mom for about 6 weeks. So we'll have to keep checking!
