Clothes Hog - who me? by joansmor

Clothes Hog - who me?

I am pondering selling my house and buying a condo. This house is way to big for me. So I have been getting things organized or rather I have been paying my niece to get things in order. I have clothes that go from size 14 to size 22, And it is ridicules to think I can take them all with me. the color containers hold clothes I might keep (there are three of them) the clear bags (5) are clothes I am giving away. But I am not a clothes hog.
I know it's not easy - good luck tho' on buying a new place!

Always good to pare down.

Hahaha, sometimes it is easier to shove them at the back of the closet!

We've been working through clearing out my daughter's clothes. She finally said it's liberating!

Not an easy task - but a necessity when moving! I've been through it - and once you've done it, you forget what you gave away! Good luck :)

It's amazing just how much stuff we acquire, then hoard when we don't need or use it. You will not give this a second thought after you've given it away!

That's a lot of spare clothing. My wife is the same, her wardrobes are bursting :o

It's a universal ailment... both Mrs S and I suffer from it too: we have a big house, but there's still not enough room for everything! Big decision to move Joan and communal living is not for everyone, I hope it all works out for you.

@vignouse A condo is like an apartment and I have lived in more than a few before. Not doing senior housing yet.

@jocasta Ended up with 7 bags and got my niece 30% off on some purchases. So I feel double good. LOL

Joan, I got rid of a lot of clothes, and still have a lot more to get rid of...LOL.. I look at it, if I haven't worn it in over a yr. out it goes. If you go into a condo, I hope you have good neighbors.

@joansmor Yeah, I know a condo isn't senior housing, but you're still living cheek by jowl with your neighbours... and you don't get to choose them :-((
