Misty Beach by joansmor

Misty Beach

I had a morning appointment rescheduled to another day. So I decided to hop down the same beach I started out at on Sunday morning. The weather was a bit of misty rain and added a nice atmosphere to the same beach that had been awash in bright sun in yesterday's post. I liked this shot because it shows the cottages along the beach. Most of our beaches in Maine have cottages along the shores rather than towering hotels and condos as they have in the Florida beaches.
Love the misty look of the beach!

Beautiful composition. Like the misty look? Are you far enough north that the hurricanes are back out to sea before they do much damage to the coastal houses? I remember them on Long Island and having to board up the summer house several times.

@milaniet There have been storms that hit here but they are rare. Fortunately I live about 1/2 hour inland. It isn't just hurricanes though other storms if they hit at high tide cause troubles. The rising ocean is only going to make that worse.

Timeless in B&W and 'placeless' too as a similar coastal scene can be found in many other countries.

I like this in b&w. Why people build so close to the water I'll never understand.
