Frizzle chickens

Well that is my best educated guess as to what these are. And is that a Rhode island red in the background. These guys are usually father back from the road when I drive by. Loved that they were in the front yard.
I can easily see why they must call them Frizzle chickens!

These are really interesting looking birds! They look quite at home in the colder weather as witnessed by the remaining snow.
